This is a small number of tests, but gives an indication of how long an AMOD AGL 3080 will last on a set of three AAA batteries.
All tests were conducted on the dashboard of a car, and are a single continuous run.
Elapsed time is the time between the first and last fix in the log file.
Temperature was between 15° and 30° C.
Observations:
- Tescos's cheapest zinc chloride batteries gave more than 10 hours.
- Duracell Plus gave more than 30 hours and were the best value for money in terms of cost per hour.
- The Energizer lithiums performed surprisingly poorly compared to the Duracells,
but should nevertheless be considered the only solution when ambient temperatures are below zero centigrade.
