Synopsis Everest 0426-0430 summit level

Jet:
A minor southwesterly jet over northeastern India and Bhutan continues
eastward. Then there will be no jet in the area almost throughout the
period. However, on Friday a new minor southwesterly is approaching ME.

Summit:
9000 m: Southwest 10-15 m/s, during Monday north-northwest about 5 m/s.
From Wednesday increasing westerly or southwesterly winds 10-15 m/s.
Very late in the period 20-25 m/s.

7500 m: North-northwest about 5 m/s. From Wednesday increasing westerly
winds, late in the period 10-15 m/s.

Weather:
A low over Tibet is weakening but there will still be risk of occasional
showers on Monday. Then a minor upper ridge passes eastward and Tuesday
should be mainly dry. However, new troughs will follow giving showery
conditions from Wednesday on.


Synopsis Annapurna 0426-0430

In general the same synopsis applies for the Annapurna region.
