Synopsis Everest 0405--0409 summit level

Jet:
A strong southwesterly jet stream moves in from west over Uzbekistan and
Kazakhstan. There is also a weak northwesterly jet over China. No jet
over ME. In the end a jet appears over Pakistan.

Summit:
9000 m: West- northwest wind 5- 10 m/s. From Friday northwesterly
increasing wind to 10- 15 m/s.

7500 m: West- northwest 5-10 m/s. From Friday northwest 10- 15 m/s.

Weather:
A ridge is situated over Pakistan and Kashmir, weakening at the end of
the period. A through stationary over ME gives moist air with some
precipitation Monday- Thursday. Probably just small amounts though. On
Friday a ridge moves in bringing more dry weather to the ME area.
