Everest forecast - From SMHI and AdventureWeather.com
By ExplorersWeb
*******************************************************************
Synopsis Everest 0330--0403 summit level

Jet:
Starting with a westerly from southern Pakistan, via northern India to
ME and Bhutan. The jet moves slowly southwards during the period and
from Wednesday on there will by no jet in the ME-area.

Summit:
9000 m: West 25-30 m/s, decreasing. From Wednesday west-northwest, most
of the time 10-15 m/s.
7500 m: West 15-20 m/s, decreasing. From Wednesday northwest 5-10 m/s.

Weather:
An upper low over Tibet causes moist weather at times and occasional
showers during the first days. Late in the period probably drier
conditions due to an approaching ridge from India.

Some wind speeds in the table seem too low. However variations in the
North- South position of the Jet stream may cause lower wind speeds at
times.
