Everest forecast - From WNI and AdventureWeather.com
By ExplorersWeb
*******************************************************************

WNI Headline:
Latest satellite imagery shows a large area of clouds in the Bay of
Bengal and northern Nepal. This is indicative of the Asiatic Monsoon
becoming well established. The subtropical moisture is forecasted to
create a good chance of showers throughout most of this week. Most of
the showers will be below 7000m-7500m with the heaviest showers at lower
elevations. Winds near the Summits look to be around 12-18 m/s
throughout this forecasting period.

Below 7500m - Good chance for showers (heavy at times) throughout most
of this period. Heaviest showers will be around 6000m-6500m with
occasional showers up to 7500m. The monsoon is well established in the
Bay of Bengal and there is plenty of moisture to create heavy showers at
times. Winds look to be around 5-8 m/s until the middle of the week when
winds are forecasted to pick up to 6-10 m/s. Winds may increase at times
during showers.

Above 7500m - Winds look to be around 12-18 m/s at the Summits
throughout this period. Today looks to be around 5-10 m/s above 7500m
(11-14 m/s at the Summits). Slightly stronger winds are in the forecast
around mid to late this week (10-15 m/s with winds 13-20 m/s at the
Summits). Models have slightly changed and increased the moisture early
in the period. Look for a chance for high clouds today through tomorrow,
occasional on Wednesday, and Thursday.

This will be the final Weathernews Americas Inc. Mount Everest weather
update for this climbing season. Weathernews Americas Inc. would like to
extend our sincere thanks to ExplorersWeb and AdventureWeather for the
use of our expertise in weather forecasting. We wish all of the
expeditions the best of luck and successes in future endeavors. WNI also
hopes to continue our mutual growth in future projects.

Congratulations to all climbers this season!
