Instrumentation for the competition
To All NATS08 Comp pilots
Unfortunately we are not going to be able to borrow the MLRs for this years NATS. Up till last week we had been promised them but due to the French needing them for a Microlight Comp, that they have had to reschedule due to bad weather, they cannot now be made available to us. So we are having to re-plan and are asking all comp pilots to bring their GPS's with them.
The Competition tasks will now be run using Pilots own GPSs.
- If you don't have one please beg or borrow one as we will NOT have any to loan you.
- Bring the leads and software, incase we need this to download your tracks.
- Your GPS needs to be clearly marked with your Competitor number
- They will be taped up prior to each task so that the data cannot be read in flight (a small section will be left open to enable you to check it is on and working)
- Be sure you can either replace or recharge the batteries as necessary. If you loose a track we cannot score you!

Flight Verification
Competitors must verify their flights by means of GPS. This must be
either Garmin, MLR, Top Navigator or Compeo and be clearly marked
with the pilot number. The GPS must be cleared of all waypoints and
track logs prior to registration for each event. After the first task
any track log must not be cleared until next task briefing. Full
instructions will be given at each briefing. Although we expect to
have MLR and Garmin leads, pilots should bring a working serial lead
