Long range forecast at 11 August
Saturday 16 August to Friday 22 August
There may
still be a few showers in eastern Scotland and eastern England over the
weekend, but even here most places will stay dry. High pressure out to the west
will then push in across the country.
Over the
weekend the northwesterly winds will still keep it a little on the cool side,
but these will gradually die out as the high pressure pushes in.
The warm
sunny weather will then spread from Northern Ireland, west Wales, western Scotland
and western England across to the east to give another period of very warm and
sunny weather for us all, but it probably will not be as hot as the beginning
of the month.
Saturday 23 August to Friday 29 August
High
pressure will again dominate the weather this week, and because it will be out
to the east of the country, most places will be dry, sunny and very warm.
There may
be the odd shower about, but they will be few and far between, with most places
missing them.
By the
end of the week more showers may well creep into Northern Ireland and the
western fringes of Scotland, England and Wales as the winds in those areas
swing more into the southwest.
