The IGC (FAI Gliding Commission) has been approving GNSS Flight recorders for years, they have an exhaustive approval system and are all something of the "Rolls-Royce" of GNSS flight recorders, having atmospheric altitude recording and a sophisticated security system. They tend to be very expensive.
