TASK 4· · This task is as task A2 in the PPG local regulations · Unlimited fuel · Photography not required · Briefing: Sunday 21.30 · Takeoff window 07.30 to 09.30 · Task closes: 11.30 Land after task closes: Zero score. NAVIGATION, PRECISION & SPEEDObjectiveTo make a clean take-off from the deck, to fly a course between as many turn points or markers as possible within a given time, and to collect bonus points for landing at designated markers before returning to the deck with a precision landing. Special rules- The clock starts the moment the marshal makes the signal to take off. - The pilot must be back on the ground in the deck 2h 30min after start time. If the pilot is between 2h 30min and 3h; penalty 50% score. More than 3h; zero score. - At the start, the pilot scores 150 bonus points for a clean take off at the first attempt, 100 for the second, 50 for the third, zero for any attempts thereafter. - There are a number of ordinary turnpoints and 4 optional landing points in the task with card punches. - Each landing point has a value equivalent to multiple turnpoints. - If a marker is missing then answer the emergency question. (Validity at the discretion of the director, but normally only if NOBODY returns with a punch mark from that landing point). - The precision landing is scored by distance of the first touch to the target. - Pilot falling over or engine off for less than 1 minute = zero landing score. - Any outside assistance: Score zero.
