Task 5

 

NAVIGATION - DISTANCE

Objective

To fly a course making a combination with 5 turn points, chosen on the official map, and return to the deck by an compulsory turn point within the time window.

 

Special rules

The pilot perform his course choosing a maximum of 5 turn points without forgetting the compulsory turn point. The compulsory turn point is not included in the 5 turn points mentioned here above. A photo of all the turn points must be taken within a sector of 90° in the direction of the landing.

If a photo of a turn point has been taken, this turn point is automatically taken into account.

Turnpoint

 

The distance performed by the pilot corresponds to the adding of all the fly segments.

It is possible to take-off wherever in the deck during the window.

The global duration of the fly should not exceed 2 hours from the opening window time.

At the landing, the pilot will give to the marshal his flying report indicating precisely his course. This report will be used for the control and validation of his flight.

Penalties

Take-off : No penalties except for safety reasons

Landing : In the PPG field but out of the deck : - 20 %

               Out of the PPG field: 0

Course without the compulsory turn point : 0
