The first
navigation task. Pilots were given a
number of turn points 30 minutes before the time window opened and had 2 hours
thereafter to fly the greatest distance possible between any number of them. The scoring shows a large number of top
pilots were caught out by a sudden increase in wind shortly before the end of
the window. Thomas Keller won the task
by landing a mere 5 seconds before the end of the time window!

Michel TOUITOU ran out of fuel 500m
before reaching the deck!
