Pilot has been scored 0 for not entering final gate, while actually he flew through the gate marked with two red barrels at the beginning of the airfield strip.
The finish gate was briefed as a 400m wide gate, with a center point located exactly in the middle between two red cones marking the beginning of the airfield strip. This is how it was briefed in the briefing, and this is how it was briefed to the pilots after that.
The beginning of the airfield strip was marked on all schemes as north-south line while in fact it is oriented somehow angled. No remark was made about that fact, neither the proper drawing has been made on white board.
As a result pilot assumed that if he fly through the beginnig of the strip he will definitely score FG.

The representation of the airfield in all briefing sheets is extremely diagrammatic, and only designed to convey a sense of the overall scheme. However, there is a detailed description of the gates:
--------
There are four gates, each 400m total width; the centre of each gate is half way between the RED runway markers at the end of each runway.
Gates AF1 & AF3 are aligned East - West
Gates AF2 & AF4 are aligned North - South.
--------
Since the description has been available from 2 July 2009 in the document "Gates at Nové Mesto nad Metují airfield" document, which also says "The location of these gates is not secret and all competitors are advised to familiarize themselves with their exact locations before the start of the championship." it cannot be said there has been no opportunity to check their exact location or say it might have been necessary to verbally brief their location.
The central point of gate AF4 is at 50:21.7850 N 016:6.2320 E
