Maps for the UK 2007 Paramotor Championship tasks

No need to pre-buy your maps!!!!!

In an effort to make things simple the Competition Director, Paul Mahony, is having some maps made especially for this year’s tasks.

The set will comprise of 4 x A3 maps, with data from various OS 1:50,000 Landranger Maps covering the area and scaled down to 1:66,666 (each kilometre square will be 15mm across).  They will be overlaid with airspace information as well as no-fly zones, waypoints, start gates, etc.  Each set of maps will also come with a map key detailing the grid references of the waypoints and their description. 

There will be no necessity to sit up half the night transposing information and plotting waypoints, getting them wrong and starting all over again!!  The map sets will also be available for free-flyers to purchase.

Each set of 4 x A3 maps and the accompanying key, will cost £10.  They will only be available from the administration desk and should be purchased when you book in on arrival. These will NOT be given out prior to the Friday night Pilots briefing at 21.00.

PLEASE NOTE: it will be a mandatory requirement for all pilots (guests, free-flyers and competitors) to have a current (Edition 11 2007) 1/4 mill CAA Airchart.

This will be checked at registration; No Chart - No fly!!

Remember, whether you are a competitor or free flyer it is a legal requirement that you fly with a map marked up with current airspace.
