Suggested list of things competing pilots should bring to the competition.
MUST HAVE
- Paramotor
- Paraglider
- Helmet
- Reserve - packed and ready to mount/use
- Current air map for the area
- Evidence of insurance (current BHPA showing SPHG rating OR certificate from another approved insurance company)
- Mobile phone will be mandatory as any necessary task cancellation will be done by SMS text message
- Plenty of AA batteries for loggers. (Recommend 16 to allow new batteries every day)
- Map holder - laminated A3 size maps will be available at the comp
- Method of attaching logger to paramotor
- Notepad and pens for briefing sessions
- Any pre-briefing material from organisers (e.g. task catalogue/rules)
ADVISED
- 12v Mobile phone charger
- 12v paramotor battery charger (if required)
- Paramotor starter foot strap (if required)
- Good supply of fuel in appropriate safe containers.
- Two/four stroke oil (whichever required)
- Thin permanent marker for marking maps
- Meths for cleaning maps after tasks (use sparingly)
- Compass for drawing circles
- Ruler for marking maps
- Magnetic compass
- Sunglasses
- First aid kit (if qualified to use it)
- Still/Video cameras
- Camera chargers which can be used on site (mains power sources will be very limited though)
- Glider repair tape/spare lines
- Paramotor spares (e.g. spark plugs, props)
- Tools
- Cable Ties
- Electrical insulation tape
- Gaffer tape
- Glider manual/Reserve Repacking manual
- Balaclava/extra gloves for thermalling task
- Vario
- Logbook
- Quest XC will be allowed so long as it is not connected to a GPS

We will provide
