<--   24 Ann Welch Diploma candidates in 2011-2012   -->
Ann Welch (1917-2002) was a remarkable lady who, amongst many other things, was one of the 168 women who flew Spitfires for the ATA in WW2, and in the early 1980's was instrumental in the creation of CIMA, the FAI Microlight and Paramotor Commission and its rules, FAI Sporting Code Section 10. She was S10 editor for at least 15 years, and was often an International Jury member at CIMA Championships.

In her memory, from 2006, Ann Welch Diplomas have been awarded annually by the CIMA Plenary.

As from 2014, two may be awarded: One to the pilot or crew of a microlight and one to the pilot or crew of a paramotor who made the most meritorious flight which resulted in a microlight or paramotor World record claim ratified since the last CIMA plenary meeting.

The dates World records were ratified by FAI are not publicly available, this list shows records first imported to the BMAA records site between 12 Nov 2011 and 9 Nov 2012. Although likely to be a good indication it cannot be a definitive list of award candidates given to the Plenary to consider and is published here as a guide only.
